Description Robert Griebl 2010-05-04 08:16:33 PDT
Touch based platforms like Maemo need a way to disable text selection and image dragging at run time, since it interferes heavily with kinetic scrolling.
(dynamically at run time, since it'd be nice to switch back to text selection mode - see e.g. the Maemo microb browser)

Do we need API for this?

Comment 5 Antonio Gomes 2011-01-18 10:17:11 PST
returning FALSE from EditorClientXXX::shouldChangeSelectedRange would prevent mouse based text selection from happening.

after further analysis neither WRT bugzilla 7427 nor ou1cimx1#726193 is dependent on this bug. Returning to pool
