On the bots we are having random layout test timeouts, some of them happen because the machines were the bots are running are not dedicated to each worker and share the CPUs between several workers, so depending on the load it can happen that more resources are available at different moments. However, the GTK and WPE ports have a shorter timeout than the Apple ports, and the machines were this bots run (standard AMD Ryzen) are not more powerful than the Apple hardware. So I don't see any reason for GTK and WPE to have a shorter default timeout than Apple ports. The last time this was raised was 8 years ago at bug 173368.
