This bug report originated from Nokia internal issue QT-1797 --- Comments --- Product Qt Function webkit Version 4.5.2 Platform Linux Platform details Compilers GCC Compiler details Subject shy/hyphenation is wrong, working unstable Steps to reproduce / test case When opening http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/shytest.html or attached demo HTML in qtdemo/browser, it does break up the words correctly, but doesn't show the actual hyphens at the right margin of the text. It's even worse for Russian language texts - it actually break the words that's in the middle of paragraph, not at the hyphenation border. And again - no hyphens visible. Also, when selecting the wrong-subdivided words, the selection higlights them correctly, but when deselected - they're painted wrong again. Standalone Safari, Konqueror are fine.

Reproduced in trunk. I also tried the russian test case but could not identify what is wrong. Further investigation is needed.
