Created attachment 474755 [details] (left) Gnome Web displaying correctly; (middle) Gnome Web not displaying correctly after clicking "Open Link in Incognito Window" in left window; (right) Gnome Web not displaying correctly in web app ### Gnome Web Information ### Gnome Web Versions Tested: Flathub 46.2, Flathub 47.2, Fedora Flatpaks 47.2, Gnome Nightly Canary 48.0-35-g5c98c7906 Debugging Information for Canary version * WebKitGTK 2.49.0 (292802@main) * GStreamer 1.24.12 * GTK 4.18.3 * Libadwaita 1.8.0 * Distributor: GNOME ### System Information ### * Distro: Fedora Silverblue Linux 42.20250327.n.0 (Silverblue Prerelease); I believe I also had this issue on Fedora 41; freshly installed system * Kernel: Linux 6.14.0-63.fc42.x86_64 * Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 6700XT ### Issue ### Under certain conditions, Gnome Web will fail to display any web content. Some of these conditions are completely reproducible for me, which are detailed later. I do not believe this issue was caused by a recent change in Gnome Web or Webkit as I am able to reproduce this on Gnome Web 46.2 up to the current canary version. I believe there was a change somewhere else in the Linux software stack that is suddenly causing problems in Gnome Web. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get any useful debugging information. Nothing is printed to terminal, nothing in system logs, no crash so no stack trace. ### Reproducing ### Method 1: Private Windows 1. Create a fresh Gnome Web profile ($ mv ~/.var/app/org.gnome.Epiphany ~/.var/app/org.gnome.Epiphany.old) 2. Go to www.wikipedia.org 3. Right click on any link and "Open Link in Incognito Window" 4. Verify that this new private window will not display any content 5. Toggle Reader Mode on, wait a few seconds, then Toggle Off. It should now display the content. Method 2: Web Apps 1. Go to www.wikipedia.org 2. Install page as Web App 3. Open newly created Web App for Wikipedia 4. Verify that the web app opens to a blank page

I discovered that this issue only occurs when Gnome Web with Wayland. When Gnome Web is run under Xwayland, it works without issue. I was also able to reproduce this issue on my MacBook Air (M3) running Fedora 42 Silverblue Beta in a VM.

I was unable to reproduce this issue on the Fedora Silverblue 42 Beta with Intel integrated graphics (Intel N100).
