Created attachment 192621 [details] test case 1) please load attached test case. then "fifi" is renderd with ligature. (Palatino font). 2) select "if" then selected "fi" is rendered at wrong position.

I am getting different issue where 'if' selection or 'fi' selection (from either side - in middle) shows 'i' as 'black' and does not turn into same color as 'f'. I tested via Safari 17.4.1.
