In fact, they are not removed. I have the same problem since the last build. They just changed « normal » spaces into non breaking spaces. These spaces are used to link words together, it looks like a space, but it acts like a letter. However, and it’s a shame, very popular websites like Youtube, or Facebook (to match your attachment) don’t even know anything about it. It’s quite annoying because I use these spaces a lot in my mother tongue. Some other websites replace them with « * ». You can create a non breaking space easily on a Mac, by combining alt+spacebar. Its hexadecimal sign is   and sometimes it’s also coded . What revision of WebKit are you using? The change that I'd suspect has been rolled out already in r55271. *** Bug 35442 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Was running r55270... will check the *71 release and follow up. *** Bug 35440 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35437 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35439 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** From a bug 35439: Looks like r55270 has a regression with word wrap in text areas. Words don't wrap (see the focus ring on attachment webkit-r55270-no-wrap.png), and when submitted the text is unbreakable (see webkit-r55270-submitted-textarea.png, where the comment from "Chris Adamson" was submitted with webkit r55270). *** Bug 35468 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35426 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Bug 35426 also has different steps to reproduce - will need to ensure that it is fixed, too. Tentatively marking as fixed - we don't have a post-r55271 nightly out yet, but the next one should work properly. Please feel free to re-open the bug or add a comment if it doesn't. *** Bug 35480 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35469 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35485 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35481 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35487 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35511 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 35501 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
