Using Version 4.0.4 (6531.21.10, r55270) Steps to reproduce: 1) Go to above URL 2) Click Edit this Page 3) Add ' * test' (without the quotes) at the top of the page 4) Add 2 newlines afterwards. 5) Click on Preview Expected: A list with the content test Actual: Just '* test', no list. If you now re-edit the entered text and exchange the space after the asterisk again for a ordinary space, hit preview again, it works.

I'm fairly sure this has the same root cause as bug 35457 - non-breaking spaces are inserted instead of normal ones. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 35457 ***
