Description Alexey Proskuryakov 2007-07-18 11:39:56 PDT
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/24219/ez-money
2) Click "Download Now".

Results: Safari freezes (sample attached). I have reproduced several times in a row.

This is a fairly recent regression (I think, r24064-r24399).

Forgot to mention: this happens with most/all downloads from MacUpdate, I just picked a relatively small file for the report.

Looking at the sample, but without a Safari machine to test on, I wonder if it was <http://trac.webkit.org/projects/webkit/changeset/24365>

I can confirm this behavior with a local debug build of WebKit r24439 with Safari 3.0 (522.12) on Mac OS X 10.4.10 (8R218). It took me SIX tries to get it to reproduce, though.

Alexey, was this reproduced on a PowerPC or Intel system?

Comment 10 Alexey Proskuryakov 2007-07-20 23:57:28 PDT
I was only testing on a G4.

This must be fixed in the Safari browser, so closing as RESOLVED/INVALID.
