In the attached testcase (must download both files), notice how the page initially draws with a bunch of repeated images (somewhat correct) but if you select the text and deselect it, the area is redrawn differently.

Safari, Chrome, and Firefox all agree on rendering for this test case. I don't believe there is any remaining compatibility issue.
