At least since Qt 4.7.3 the loading of really big html files have been slow. The issue can be reproduced with qt/examples/webkit/previewer. This has been tested with a 5.7 MB html file. Steps to reproduce: 1. run the previewer examples 2. Go to 'File' and 'Open...' the file 3. Resize the window Expected: The window is resized immediately Actual result: The window goes grey and the html content isn't resizing to the same size as the window frame

The Qt port has been removed from WebKit, resolving this bug.
