Summary Rendering corruption on sites that use JavaScript

Reported 2012-09-24 18:43:35 PDT
I apologize for this being general but I see rendering corruption on various websites with both Safari 6.x on OSX and the Webkit Nightly Builds. Some of the sites where I have seen this are: * Google instant * GMail * TD Ameritrade * some Stack Exchange sites * Slashdot The problems seem to occur primarily when JavaScript is used to automate rendering. The problem exhibits as misrendered text, blank areas of web pages, or text in forms that does not show up. The problem does not exhibit on Google Chrome.

I think that the best way forward would be to pick just one of the sites, and look into that. Is this issue reliably reproducible on any of this sites? Please post detailed steps to reproduce (e.g.: open "www.foo.com", click on green "Go" button near top right of the window, observe that content is not painted at lower left...) Are you seeing this just on one machine, or on multiple ones? What hardware do you use? Please attach a screenshot of corruption.

I will try to get a screenshot next time I reproduce a problem. I am using a 2011 Macbook Pro which is the only Mac I have. The problem is not consistent and may or may not appear. This issues has been discussed on Apple support forums. These forum threads have some screenshots of the problem: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4148522?start=0&tstart=0 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4145775?start=0&tstart=0
