Description mrmikel 2012-09-21 07:22:01 PDT
As used in Sigil, highlight some text, cut it, paste it, click in front of it and space. The text will be highlighted and the highlighting is removed only by selecting it again. It is not effective highlighting, since other text farther down can be selected and acted upon, but this text remains highlighted.

Could you please provide more detail about the issue? Is there a web site one can see this issue in action?
Comment 2 mrmikel 2012-09-21 15:08:12 PDT
This is part of the Sigil software program:
http://code.google.com/p/sigil/

This action occurs while editing text.

We need a reduction for this bug. I don't know what you're referring to by "highlight". Please give us a step by step instruction to reproduce this bug.

As used in Sigil, any version, cut text, paste it then press the space bar. The following text is highlighted and the only way to get rid of the highlighting is the select the text then click elsewhere.

And how do you know this is a bug in WebKit? By "highlighted", do you mean that the selection is drawn incorrectly?
Comment 6 mrmikel 2012-10-08 16:48:07 PDT
I was told it was a webkit bug by the developers of Sigil who have had to work around it.

Not enough information. Please file a new bug if you have more detailed information as to what exactly is wrong.
