Summary
dblclick should only fire when click count is exactly 2, not for any even count

On Mac OS X, multi-clicks greater than 2 don't normally trigger a double click action. For example, multi-clicking a folder icon in the Finder only activates it once. Multi-clicking text doesn't go back to word selection after it hits line/paragraph selection. There are very few places that actually treat every other multi-click as a double-click.

Incidentally and oddly, Firefox gets this right even though we don't. See also attachment.

I think WinIE might do this and that was why we did it... ?

Nah, Win IE only lets the click count get up to 3, so this issue doesn't apply. I think we did it just because the khtml code was that way originally.

TOT behaves as desired (in fact, any nightly build that I tried behaves this way, while shipping Safari fires a dblclick on every other click).

Mass moving XML DOM bugs to the "DOM" Component.
