It's hitting a dcheck. I filed http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=122160 about it.

After landing a fix in chrome now it doesn't seem crashy anymore. http://test-results.appspot.com/dashboards/flakiness_dashboard.html#tests=fast%2Ffilesystem%2Ffile-writer-abort (As for occasional timeouts we're tracking on issue 72631)
