RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 79815 82620
Deleting password at bottom of large page causing 100% CPU

Summary Deleting password at bottom of large page causing 100% CPU

Reported 2012-03-29 08:56:17 PDT
When deleting all the text in the password field either by command-delete or command-a delete, it causes the system to use 100% CPU for about 15 seconds. I have only noticed this for password type field and when they are at the bottom of a large page. Deleting works fine when you do one character at a time but fails when you try to select all and then delete. I know that my HTML doesn't verify, but looking at the verification report it doesn't seem like it would make the system use 100% CPU This might or might not be related to 79815. HIs/Her version didn't hang when I did command-delete, so I figured a new bug report was needed. It could also be because his version is a lot smaller than mine.

Actually now that I looked closer into this, this is directly related to 79815. It is just my hang is more noticeable than in his/her example.
