Description Alex gRay 2012-02-28 11:01:51 PST
It would be nice if the Inspector had an alternative "Side View".
With the proliferation of "widescreen displays".. horizontal real estate is at a premium…
It is often the case that it is impossible to view both the inspector AND the content or area being "perused" - simultaneously... which is a shame.

Having an alternative, LEFT or RIGHT orientation would alleviate many of these problems.
ROUGH Mockup of a very simple implementation, attached.

Web Inspector already supports "Dock to right" mode. I'd suggest that we make further requests more specific. Like in this one, you are suggesting that Elements panel splits DOM tree and Styles section vertically, removing the dupe mark.

Note: It only supports dock-to-right in Chrome/Chromium.

I mean WebCore supports it, we just need more ports to leverage the support.
