Summary
freeze opening several tabs in the background from an rss page (digg)
Richard Das
Reported
2006-03-16 11:48:52 PST
I open the following rss feed page: feed://digg.com/rss/index.xml Clicking on several stories rapidly to open them in new tabs and load in the background causes processor to ramp up to 100% and safari becomes unresponsive. Only way out is to force quit. This is reproducable on two machines, an iMac 2.0Ghz G5 (no iSight) and a PowerMac DP 2.3GHz G5, both running 10.4.5. Originally experienced this bug in release version of Safari, so switched to nightly builds, but problem is persistent (first noticed roughly Jan.) My brother on a PowerMac DP 1.25GHz G4 (no nightly build of webkit) does not experience this problem as tested.
