When the window is wide enough for Bugzilla to fit without needing a horizontal scroll bar, the dotted horizontal lines have diagonal lines coming off them at 45° up & right. See screenshot. When the window is narrower, these marks disappear. Seen in Safari 5.1.2

Sorry, no time for reduction, have train to catch.

I cannot reproduce this. Is this fully reproducible for you, even after a reboot?

Could you please provide information about your machine setup (exact OS version, video card model). A system profile would work best.

This only happens when accelerated drawing is enabled, which is not a shipping configuration.

Okay then Simon, would you mind me asking some questions:

In Quartz Debug, the "Enable Quartz Extreme" checkbox is ticked, the "Force QuartzGL" box is unticked.
In Safari, the "Enable Full Page Accelerated Drawing" debug menu item is ticked.
I have not fiddled with any such settings since installing Lion.
I tried turning off these two settings one at a time, and then both together, reloading the page each time, and the diagonals didn't go away.

So, are these the 'accelerated drawing' configurations you are referring to, or is there another one elsewhere? If they are, why does turning them off have no effect?

What is the shipping state of these (and any other pertinent) settings?

I hope the "Invalid" setting just means "not a WebKit issue", and that the Quartz team already know about it, or it has been reported to them. I can file a radar if needs be.

This is the one that triggers the bug.

Really? The default is off, so, unless we have a bug with that setting (somewhat unlikely) you must have toggled it at some point.

This setting only affects new windows.
