At the following test web page: http://cosmod.kr-ustecky.cz/api/test.html only the last image will be loaded correctly by Safari. The first two images will not be loaded. The problem seems to be related with the image dimensions. When the image has a size of 2251 x 577 px, Safari will be unable to load it. When the image is smaller, e.g. 225 x 256px, it will be loaded without any problems. The bug was observed at: - Webkit nightly build r103339 on Windows 7 - Safari 5.1.2 (7534.52.7) on Windows 7 - iPad and iPhone running iOS 5.0.1 Other browsers (Chrome, MSIE, FF) will display the images correctly.

correction: - only the first image with the dimension 2251x557px will not show up the second and third image will be loaded without any problems.

This is not a WebKit issue. On a Mac OS X system, the image won't open in any application that uses the same graphics library that WebKit does. I've copied this report to Apple internal bug tracker for engineers working on this library to investigate. This is now tracked internally as <rdar://problem/10616882>. I'm closing this report as INVALID since it's not a WebKit issue. Thank you very much for reporting this bug!
