It appears that this bug reproduces only when font-family: Ariel is specified.

Looks like a measure/render discrepancy, probably due to shaping differences between the two.

Yeah. I'm thinking that it might be to do with font fallback because it only reproduces when we have font-family: Arial. Specifying Helvetica, for example, solves the bug.
