By "Mozilla" browsers, I meant Firefox (along with variant Flock).

Could you please provide us with a test-case by saving the page in FireFox and uploading it as an attachment, so people who don't have a blogger account can also take a look on this.

The full editing bar does not show up in Safari because Blogger specifies to only use the basic editing tools. I believe this has something to do with varied support for HTML content editable. A nightly WebKit build from the 31st displays at least some editing bar. I'd move to have this bug closed. I'll attach a screen shot.

I am confirming that only a minimal Toolbar is visable in ToT.  It would be nice to have access to the full toolbar though, so for now I am going to leave this open.

Does Blogger.com integrate one of the third-party tools like TinyMCE or Kupu?  Or is this a user agent sniffing/evangelism issue?  Has anyone tried masquerading Safari+WebKit as Firefox to see how much of the editor works?  (You can change the user agent that Safari sends through the hidden "Debug" menu.)

Changing the user agent string in both the Safari 2.0.4 (419.3), and WebKit r15395 yield the same results. If there is support detection it seems to be done on a different level. One example is the editing bar available in Safari has fewer options then WebKit, even when both are set to MSIE 6.0, or Mozilla 1.1. Webkit shows as many options as Firefox and IE, except there is no visible tab to switch to "Compose" which contains all those editing tools. This could possibly be due to the visible rendering glitch on the create post page. See bug #8796.

As of latest nightly July 19th, 2006 the full toolbar is now visible along with a fully working compose and preview funtion.  Only remaining issue I can see is the "size" drop down to modify the font in compose mode does not work.

Closing since this is now working in TOT.
