Summary: WebKit editing: Under certain circumstances text pasted from the pasteboard is inserted at the wrong location. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached document in Safari. 2. Select any of the words in red. 3. Choose Edit > Copy. 4. Choose Edit > Paste. Expected Results: Text is inserted at the location of the selection. Actual Results: Text is inserted in first line. Spaces are inserted at old selection. Regression: Reproducible with Safari 5.1.1 (Mac OS X 10.7.2) and also with latest WebKit nightly build. Notes:

This bug has been fixed on ToT WebKit.

Was the fix very recent? I think that I saw broken behavior with a yesterday local build (can't reconfirm right now, still building). The reporter also says that it's reproducible in the latest nightly.

I can reproduce the bug on Safari 5.1 but can't on ToT WebKIt.

We can confirm that the bug is fixed in the latest nightly build (r98835, 2011-10-31). However, we found a similar bug which can be reproduced with the same sample file (filed as 71207).
