RESOLVED WORKSFORME 68109
Devtools page is out-of-date about minimum Xcode

Summary Devtools page is out-of-date about minimum Xcode
Alan Stearns
Reported 2011-09-14 13:14:09 PDT
http://www.webkit.org/building/tools.html states that "Xcode 3.1.4 or later is required to build." The actual requirement is Xcode 3.2.2. There was an ld -objc_gc_compaction option added to the build script a while back that does not exist in ld prior to Xcode 3.2.2, so the page has been out of date since that change.

This doesn’t make any sense. The flag you refer to is only used on Lion and that ships with Xcode 4.1.

Ah, it was a machine with an old Xcode install that I had upgraded to Lion. Sorry for my confusion.
