test case On the Mac, in both Chrome and Safari (at least when the browser language is English - I have not tried it with an RTL browser), a <select>'s arrow button currently always gets displayed on the right. The expected behavior is that it should be dependent on the <select>'s direction. (It should not be dependent on the browser's language, nor the <option>s' direction, nor the text in the <options>s.) That is the way it behaves in Chrome on Windows and Linux, in Safari on Windows, in IE on Windows, and in Firefox on Windows and Linux and even on the Mac. If Safari on the Mac has to be special and always have the button on the right, at least Chrome on the Mac should do the right thing.

Safari, Chrome, and Firefox all agree on rendering for this test case. I don't believe there is any remaining compatibility issue.
