updater isn't downloading an actual updater as usual; instead the whole browser is coming down as a dmg. This started last night and continues this morning.

Could you please clarify what updater this is? Is this bug about downloading new WebKit nightly builds?

I download the nightly builds and usually when WebKit launches in the morning it asks me to update and it downloads a little updater and I just have to click a few times and it updates the program and relaunches it for me. When it launches again there's no message saying to update it. Starting a couple of days ago, when it launches in the morning and asks me to update, a whole DMG file of the whole entire program is downloaded and I have to manually replace my entire application with the newly downloaded application. I thought it was a bug in the update process but perhaps there were so many changes in the program the past few days that a whole new application was necessary.
