FWIW, I cannot reproduce this in Lion (it plays using QuickTime plug-in just fine). Did you make a clean install of Lion, or was it migrated from Snow Leopard?

Mass closing plug-in bugs, as plug-in support has been removed from WebKit. Please comment and/or reopen if this still affects WebKit in some way.
