Description danielnpu 2011-06-30 08:36:40 PDT
During test HTML5 with below page:

http://www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html

I found sometimes the video cannot be played. Here is how to reproduce the issue.

I reproduced the bug with following steps:
1) load the page.
2) click the Bunny trailer button.
3) click the Sintel teaser button.
4) click the Play button.
And the video will not be played.

I reproduced this issue in three ways:

1. Google chrome for Ubuntu (32bit).
2. Private build for Webkit-GTK on Ubuntu 11.04(latest source code from webkit.org)
3. Private build based on a ealier version of Webkit2, on Meego 1.0).

Please investigate. Thanks.

This works fine here. Please reopen if needed, providing versions of your gstreamer packages.

Facing this same problem. I am using Qt5.2, Webkit 2.0 on Win 7. No problem on Linux Mint.
To reproduce:
1. Just compile the browser example and go to the following websites and try to play the videos.

http://www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html
http://www.videojs.com
http://sublimevideo.net/demo

The video actually plays but it is not visible. The audio is played and can be heard. If you click on the full-screen button on the controls then the video shows up full screen and is visible and plays well.
Also, in the normal mode( not full-screen) the the time-line of the video shows up as a blue line extending beyond the video size and even beyond the right boundary of the browser itself

Should I file a new bug? or is it the same bug as this one?

QtWebKit bugs are no longer managed in this bugzilla because that port was removed from WebKit trunk. Please contact the QtWebKit maintainers via https://bugreports.qt-project.org/
