copy any text from SVG and paste into html textbox.

note there is additional text "clipboard:" attached to front.

Ryosuke Niwa has explained it in bug 40492 that there is no issue here - your test case prepends "clipboard:" to the string before pasting.

check with Ryosuke Niwa in case of extreme difficulty....

the noscript attachment has no script and does not prepend anything.

the lengths some people go to is quite beyond belief

Jay, I think the english you're using makes it really hard to figure out what you mean.
Anyhow, I've tested your testcases, and copying eg. "content" from your test svg, pasting into  html text edit results in "content" for me, not "clipboard: content" (unless I'm using the version of your "testcase" that prepends clipboard manually)"

I can't see any bugs, closing.

I have never had such a problem,

I have already attached a screengrab, using a recent nightly build,

are you using OSX?

perhaps the bug is OS X related,

I dont know, but the fact you cannot reproduce is not a reason for closing

I now checked on snow leopard latest OS X intel and another ppc

both have the identical issue.

please do not close until checked on OS X box,

I am on osx, and see no bugs. Again please start from scratch, and write _detailed_ step-by-step guide how to see the bug, if you want to convince me or others.

these are the steps I took:

open without script attachment 'drag' or select any or all text,

open html attachment and paste,

make screengrab

I have repeated this a number of times and on every occasion using recent nightly builds the text is prepended 'clipboard: '.

If anyone can advise me how to copy and paste without the prepended text, 
I am naturally content to close this bug.

what possible benefit is there to me in claiming this is the practical effect here, other than the fact it is the case?
