See HTML5 Canvas element section on Compositing. Also some cases are not properly covered by Philip canvas test suite and would need to be covered (for example, 2d.composite.uncovered.* has no source-atop tests).

Solved as part of bug 39027 (I thought it would require more work). Closing this bug.
