This feature is only halfway there and hasn't been touched in a while. If/When it comes back, then this stuff can be added at that point.

My contribution to the effort of reducing ifdef's. My intern was the one to add this. He is long gone. I won't be working on it and although Mike Lawther will be working on it, it likely will turn out different, so it is probably best if he doesn't have to mess with this legacy code and just starts fresh instead.
