Used to be we could load our NPAPI plugin using the pluginspage attribute of the embed tag. This stopped working a few weeks ago and we are getting THOUSANDS of customer complaints. Click the URL in Safari and you will see, no mention of our NPAPI plugin. Does anyone know why?

This is strange. There were no Safari updates a few weeks ago. Do you which Safari version this last worked with?
Do you *know*
Hi All, We don't know the exact time the "pluginspage" attribute stopped working. Can someone confirm that it HAS stopped working and/or if this is a bug? Thanks, Bill Appleton CTO @ DreamFactory Software
Bill, the URL linked to in this bug is no longer valid. This needs to be addressed in order for us to confirm this bug. If you could attach a working test case to this bug, that would be ideal.
Hi All, Ooops, my bad, the url listed in the bug report is back in action, this is a link to the installer for the NPAPI DreamFactory Player. The installer is in a ZIP file, we also sometimes use an EXE file here for Windows or a DMG file for OS X. None seem to work on Safari. Best, Bill http://www.dreamfactory.com/projects/safaritest.html
Thanks Bill. If you don't mind, I'm going to add a local copy of this page as an attachment to this bug.

The missing plug-in sheet changed between Safari 5.0 and Safari 5.0.1, and as a result 'pluginspage' attribute is no longer displayed in the missing plug-in sheet. Since this is an issue specific to Safari, I'd recommend filing a bug at <http://bugreport.apple.com>.
In this particular case, there is already a bug filed (per comment 1), so Apple engineers working on Safari can already track the issue. You may want to file your own bug if you you'd like to ask Apple Developer Connection about its status in the future.
