Summary LEAK: Huge amounts of leaks
Joachim Tingvold
Reported 2011-02-21 13:54:23 PST
I'm not sure if this even is the place to post this, but my Safari seems to be having some huge amounts of memory-leaks, causing me to actually exhaust 8GB of memory, and additional 5-7GB swap. The issue seems to be re-produceable by opening up a fair amount of tabs, and keep them opened for a week or so. I have available a "leaks Safari"-report, but due to it's size, and somewhat "private" information, I'd rather provide the location of this file in private, if possible.

Oh, I think should rephrase my description; Safari doesn't actually use 8GB of ram + 5-7GB of swap _alone_, but it seems to be the reason for draining memory; I can leave my computer on, using exactly the same software I normally use, except Safari, and I don't have this issue. I've downloaded the latest WebKit nightly. I'll try using this for a while, to see if it helps.

Hahaha, maybe I've overreacted. 51MB of leakage? Maybe that's not much to complain about? Anyhow; Safari seems to hog up a lot of memory, though.
