krinklemail
Reported 2011-01-29 17:00:30 PST
== Description == When using a float label system in a form (to make field line up nicely) and clearing afterwards the <select> element moves a few 100 pixels to the right when clicked for no apparent reason. == Reproduce == * Navigate to http://jsbin.com/equna4/2 in a WebKit browser * Click the Limit: select dropdown == What should happen == It shows the options and nothing else. == What does happen == The select magically jiggers to the right of the form and then expands. == Important notes == When inspecting the element with the Web Inspector and unticking/re-ticking some style properties the element moves back to where it belongs (for example inspect the <br /> and untick the clear:both and then re-tick it again) However when one then click the <select> again it once again moves to the right...

Interesting note - if I change: <input type="checkbox" name="hidesubpages" value="0" /> to: <input type="text" name="hidesubpages" value="0" /> the select doesn't move when clicked.

(In reply to comment #6) > Duplicate of bug 27656? Yes, although I seem to remember yet another report of this, as it affected the Bugzilla review form in one of its incarnations.
