Alright so heres what happens, your browsing through the map blah blah blah. click around a bit and safari (webkit) CPU consumption skyrockets, it stops making MACH Calls or Receives or Unix Calls totally STALLS. i have made the map public for this set as it contains no private info however since this is a CRASH I believe it is critical we find how to fix this.

I can't reproduce this with a nightly. Safari uses a very moderate amount of CPU time on the map, and memory usage remains reasonable, too. Could you check what Activity Monitor says about the Safari process when this happens? Also, can a sample be made (also with Activity Monitor)?

btw to summarize the screencast (its only 2 minutes you people) cpu use jumps to 100% memory usage goes insane berserk (In reply to comment #3) > Created an attachment (id=77544) [details] > "Screencast" of the bug occurring. > > will get a sample *YAWN* tomorrow… screencast is… *points at link*

Looking at the screencast, one difference is that the Chicago 2006 set shows empty for me. Please do attach the sample - it briefly shows up on the screencast, but a full text would be helpful.
