Description Ridley Combs 2010-12-22 19:58:05 PST
After updating to WebKit Nightly r74228 on OSX, I get the crash reported in http://pastebin.com/KvjwddSt on several websites, including http://downornot.com/ and http://failblog.org/. IT seems that longer pages tend to crash, while shorter pages tend to not crash, though this could be a false correlation. I've tried disabling Safari extensions, it makes no difference. Categorized as "Plug-ins" because of the message in the debug report.

I'm not able to reproduce this with r74228 on Mac OS X. Based on that crash dump, you have other plug-ins installed, including /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/SnagitSafariScroller.webplugin/Contents/MacOS/SnagitSafariScroller. Can you try this with those plugins disabled?
Comment 3 Ridley Combs 2010-12-23 10:03:10 PST
I removed SnagitSafariScroller, as well as Cooliris. Neither had any effect. When I removed the entire directory of plugins, the issue did not repeat itself. I'll go through my plugins one by one and see which one triggers the crash.
Comment 4 Ridley Combs 2010-12-23 10:10:22 PST
I found it! The offending plug-in seems to be "Veoh Plugin.webplugin". A temporary workaround is simply to move said plugin to the "Disabled Plug-Ins" folder.

Attaching the same crash log - linking to external sites for essential information is generally not advisable, if we can keep it all in Bugzilla.

This should be fixed in the next nightly (not available for download yet).
