Summary
Must restart WebKit after proxy settings change

There is an annoying issue with both Safari and WebKit Nighties of having to restart the browser after your proxy settings have changed. More specifically I always take my MacBook Pro between work and home. At work in order to access any website I must run behind the company proxy in order to do so, but the proxy is not accessible outside of the office. So when I take my computer home and use the network there I no longer need to run behind the proxy, but the browser is still assumes to use the proxy making website inaccessible until I restart Safari/WebKit. This creates a big inconvenience when I have pages open that I wish to get back to later. Other WebKit based browsers such as Google Chrome do not seem to exhibit this problem. I'm not sure if this issue is at the OS level or the Application level as I've not had this issue with any other applications.

What kind of proxy is this, an HTTP one or SOCKS? How do you change proxy settings - are you just changing a location, or editing the settings manually?

It is an HTTP Web Based proxy but I use Auto Discovery for connivence. (In reply to

OK. I'm pretty certain that this is an issue in closed source frameworks below WebKit. Could you please file a bug via <
