When applying CSS3 styling such as box-shadow to elements that have been given a mask, the style renders over the entire element and not the mask, creating phantom edges and other visual glitches.

Sorry for the very late response. Is it possible that you can add an example to the bug report? That would be really great and help a lot.

We can't make progress on this bug without a test case or example site illustrating the problem.
