RESOLVED DUPLICATE of
bug 9252
4500
Links disappear on mouse over while page is loading
https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4500
Summary
Links disappear on mouse over while page is loading
Mark Rowe (bdash)
Reported
2005-08-17 16:51:42 PDT
The page mentioned in the URL presently takes a very long time to load. After it is initially rendered, mousing over any of the hyperlinks in the page causes them to "disappear". The text or images inside the links are no longer visible, and it is not possible to click them. The links reappear when the page completes loading.

The page no longer seems slow enough to produce this error. However I did see scroll bar problems when loading the page. I used to see this bug when using Colloquy, but I haven't seen it in a long time.

screenshot Reproducible (
r13261
): Screenshot with mouse pointer hovering over first link ('OSx86 Home') of the 'navigation' container while refreshing the page. The container collapses. The links re-appear after page rendering is completed.

I do not know if it can help, but I found the same problem with the website www.theregister.co.uk By pure chance downloading the page was going very slowly so I could find this. Unfortunatly it is difficult to replicate as the page downloads quickly practically always.

This repros for me. URL:
http://www.lillimuse.com
. This does not repro on Konqueror, Firefox, IE6, Opera, etc. - only Safari. If anyone has any ideas what might be going on here, I'd greatly appreciate suggestions. Thanks!

I'm almost sure this is a duplicate of
bug 9252
. I can't reproduce on
http://www.lillimuse.com/
either.

Ah, ok. Dynamically swapping stylesheets == no good on Safari. I've made a workaround. It looks like you've managed to fix this in recent builds, in any case. Thanks!
