To reproduce: 1. Open <http://webkit.org/blog-files/3d-transforms/poster-circle.html> 2. In another tab, open <http://webkit.org/> 3. Make sure the webkit.org tab is selected 4. Watch Safari's CPU usage in Task Manager Safari's CPU usage is non-0. This is because WebKit is continuing to render the animation in the poster-circle.html tab. If you turn off accelerated compositing, Safari's CPU usage drops to 0.
