When I attempt to compile webkit with a custom pkg-config path, I get a bunch of link errors at the very end.
My system glib version is too old, so I built a newer version and point pkg-config where it is installed.
Attached is the console output I get.

Have you tried JHBuild? I usually build WebKit external libraries with jhbuild and everything works fine.
