Summary Controls in Flash video player are not clickable in Webkit browsers

Go to: http://trevorpowell.com/news-video-map/ Hover over a video thumbnail and a preview window will open up. Click on the larger thumbnail in the preview window (or the play button) and a Flash video will start playing. The issue is that the controls in the player are not clickable in Safari and Chrome. IE and Firefox work fine. Only Webkit browsers appear to be affected. Specifically I am seeing this behavior: Safari on Mac – No controls are clickable Chrome on Mac – Only play/pause button is clickable Safari on PC – Only play/pause button is clickable Chrome on PC – Only play/pause button is clickable My Mac testing was with the latest versions of Safari and Chrome on fully-updated Mac OS X 10.5.8. My PC testing was with the latest versions of Safari and Chrome on fully-updated Microsoft Windows XP. I have tried adjusting wmode and working with the CSS positioning and layering, but haven't been able to find any workaround for Webkit browsers to enable the controls.

Could you make a reduced test case for this issue? It probably takes only a few HTML elements and a plug-in to happen, but it's quite hard to tell what is going on with all the map code below.

I have tried drilling into the code to pinpoint the problem before. I've never been able to get it to occur outside of embedding the video player inside the Yahoo! Maps popup. If I embed the video player in the page outside of the Yahoo! Maps popup, the controls work fine. I will work on an example with a basic map and one single popup that embeds the video player. Will update here.

Mass closing plug-in bugs, as plug-in support has been removed from WebKit. Please comment and/or reopen if this still affects WebKit in some way.
