Summary
Updater not working

When I attempt to update Webkit by responding to the altert, the process fails with a message to try again later. This happens both at home (dual G4 450) and at work (733MHz G4). OS is OSX10.4.11. Downloading and manually installing new version works without error.

Can you please provide the precise error message that you receive? Attach a screenshot if you’d like.

This has been happening to me as well over the last several nightly builds, both on El Capitan and now on Sierra.

"An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again later." This has been happening over the last several Nightly builds, both with El Capitan and now with Sierra. Most recently with Version 10.0.1 (12602.2.14.0.7,
r208323
)

I can add a bit more detail here. I'm running 10.12.1, and Version 10.0.1 (12602.2.14.0.7,
r208978
) of the nightly. This has been happening for me ever since I upgraded to Sierra, on two different MBPs, the older one dating to 2012, and an iMac retina 5K. I've no idea how this actually works, but I'm making a guess that different compiled sub packages of the app get updated during an app update, and that each of those is of a different size. For me, every time the updater tries to get the sub package that is ~106MB in size, the updater fails extracting the archive. Screen recording demonstrating the issue:

If ever a smaller sub package is the one that needs updating, the updater works fine. My guess is that either the troublesome sub package is improperly compressed, or the size of it is the issue. HTH.
