Guys, I'd appreciate being in a CC list for the changes like this. http://webkit.org/new-inspector-bug is a shortcut we use for inspector bugs. There has also been a discussion at #webkit-inspector on the subject that you must have missed. 

The original idea was to collect feedback from the nightly / dev channel users on the 11px change. Rationale behind the experiment is that Firebug and Eclipse (biggest tools for JavaScript and development as a whole) use 11px fonts on Mac. I do respect consistency and standards, but if inspector users want it to be 11px for DOM tree as in Firebug, we should make it 11px by default. We are talking about a fraction of users working with the tool in a standalone / attached window that often know what they want.
