The visited link problem does not seem to exist on other sites I have visited; such as my.excite.com. Works OK on Google Chrome which is also a webkit based browser.

Which links are you seeing the problem with? I tried two, "Please sign in to access your inbox" and a location in Weather pane. Both had a new color on Back. The colors are very close though, just two shades of blue.

This problem occurs with every link on my home page of "my.yahoo.com"; the links are black and remain black. Firefox, Google Chrome, and Camino work properly, the visited links turn red. Omniweb works properly also.

Have you changed the default appearance? I couldn't quickly find any that had black text for links.

No, I did not change the default appearance. If I'm not mistaken the default appearance of links on Safari is black and normally change to red when visited. The point is: it doesn't matter what the default appearance is; when a link is visited it's supposed to change color. It seems to work properly for me except on my.yahoo.com or yahoo.com. Have no problem with my.excite.com or as explained before on other browsers, even on my.yahoo.com.

Just discovered that if a link is clicked with the command key held down, in addition to opening in a new tab as expected, the link turns red when the tab is closed and returned to the referring link's page. Hopefully this additional info will help with a solution to the problem.

My Yahoo page has evolved and browsers as well. If we have similar issue, we would've newer bugs to track. So I think we can close this and it was never confirmed as well. Marking this as 'RESOLVED WONTFIX'.
