Created attachment 481533 [details] Spindump of Safari Web Content process Safari 27.0 on macOS 15.8 All Safari windows were closed, and Safari was in the background, but I noticed that my MacBook Pro was a little warm, so I opened Activity Monitor and found that the Safari Web Content process was using >100% CPU. Attached is a spindump. As far as I can tell, the issue appears to be JS GC. But I don't know why that continues to occur after all Safari windows are closed.

Yes, I think that the root cause is that it was allowed to keep running somehow. This is probably a case that's not actionable without at least the system log, if not a full sysdiagnose.
