Shrinkwrapping fails with child with overflow hidden and width 0

Summary Shrinkwrapping fails with child with overflow hidden and width 0

Reported 2009-12-08 04:05:46 PST
Created attachment 44465 [details] Testcase See the attached testcase for an example. A floated element with a block-level child with width 0, padding and overflow hidden should shrinkwrap to produce (in my testcase) a green square with no red showing. Assigning a width of 1px fixes this behaviour. This works in current Gecko (1.9.2 at time of filing).

This checked in Safari 4.0.4 (not nightly).

Same behaviour with position:absolute or display:inline-block instead of float. Thanks to Robin Whittleton for that workaround.

This is now working in Chrome 21 but still fails in Safari 6. Guess a recent commit fixed it? I’ll leave the bug open until a release Safari works.
