Simply try to visit "uniovi.es" with a webkit based browser like epiphany or midori, you will get:
Unable to load page

Problem occurred while loading the URL http://uniovi.es/

Cannot resolve hostname

On the other hand, firefox (and gecko based browsers) handle this situation much better adding "www" automatically and, then, showing http://www.uniovi.es/ without any issue.

This is functionality that browsers would provide, not WebKit itself.  Safari, for instance, behaves as you would expect.  You should file a bug report against browsers that don’t.
