Simply try to browse http://www.elpais.com/ , wait until awful add shown before main page ends and see that you will be unable to go to the end of the page, as scroll bar is not shown and, also, up and down arrow keys doesn't do anything. On the other hand, that webpage works fine from gecko browsers Thanks a lot :-) I have webkit-1.1.15.2

Are you still seeing this problem? I do not see it in a recentish build of WebKitGTK using Epiphany.
