Created attachment 478146 [details] Screenshot of iPad showing details summary marker with emoji Load `data:text/html,<details>123</details><details open>456</details>` You'll notice that the closed details has an emoji for its summary's marker content. This specifically applies to iOS (tested on my iPad), and NOT macOS (test on my mac).

Changing the font-family to "system-ui" in styles fixes this, so it seems to be something to do with which font gets chosen.
