The SpeechSynthesis.getVoices() only lists a fixed pre-installed sounds, newly downloaded sounds (System Settings (Accessibility -> Spoken content -> Voices) are not listed. The pre-installed voices are all robotic-sounding, low quality and make for a poor user experience! Apple users have less and worse possibilities in this case compared to users of all other platforms, e.g. Microsoft Edge on Windows provides quality Natural speech voice to the SpeechSynthesis API.
